A 200-unit rental project of duplexes and detached homes next to established estate-style homes drew 14 opposition letters from the immediate area. Residents cited traffic on Westmoreland, wildlife and creek impacts, and a six-foot wood fence where they were promised brick. The commission recommended denial, partly because the applicant didn't show up to answer questions.
